Midland Park - Olive Grove

Wendland Olives was established in June 2000 by Angela and Karsten Wendland. Angela and Karsten migrated to Queensland from the United Kingdom with their two sons earlier that year.

Midland Park, the site of Wendland Olives, is located between Leyburn and Millmerran, in the Shire of Millmerran, part of the southern Darling Downs approximately 2 ˝ hours west of Brisbane.

Midland Park had more recently been the location of a Hereford stud, prior to which the property had supplied large quantities of cypress pine to the local sawmills.

After extensive earthworks, some scrub clearing and rock picking, a fully irrigated 19,000 tree olive grove was established. The last trees were planted in June 2001.
